LEARN MORE ABOUT GOLDENDOODLES

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WE CANNOT GUARANTEE COAT TYPES, SHEDDING, OR ADULT LOOKS WHEN YOU ADOPT A PUPPY.

We have carefully chosen our parent dogs for temperament and health. Both the Poodle and the Golden Retriever are highly social and love to be with people They have the loyalty and happy go lucky temperaments of the golden, and the highly intuitive, super intelligence of the poodle. Both breeds bring wonderful traits to the goldendoodle. This makes the goldendoodle an excellent pet choice for families with children and as service dogs for the handicap or as emotional support and therapy dogs.  The goldendoodle is a cross bred which means currently they do not have a standard look but is also means that they have a very healthy genetic code.

ALL DOGS PICTURED BELOW HAVE BEEN AT ONE TIME PART OF OUR BREEDING PROGRAM AND HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO OUR GENETIC LINES

F1 Goldendoodle

F1  Goldendoodle

F1 goldendoodles also known as first generation goldendoodles is a 50/50 cross between the golden retriever and poodle. This generation will shed less than a golden retriever and when they do shed, they tend to shed in “clumps”. This coat needs to be brushed often and will need grooming every 8-10 weeks.  We love the hybrid vigor that this generation offers and we are thrilled to have this generation as the foundation to our breeding program. The F1 goldendoodle is the beginning of something magical, when bred well, they have amazing temperaments.  The combination of the intelligence and coat of the poodle and the lovable family oriented golden retriever cannot be found in any other hybrid.  If you can tolerate some shedding and have minor pet allergies this generation makes amazing service dogs.  We love this generation and have selectively chosen two amazing dogs to continue our foundational lines.

F1b  Goldendoodle

F1b goldendoodles are one of the three generations that Timberland Falls will focus on, the other will be the f1bb (aka) multi-gen parental line. F1b Goldendoodles are a 25/75 cross between an F1 goldendoodle and a Poodle. The paring of an F1 goldendoodle X poodle is what gives you 25% Golden Retriever and 75% Poodle. They are a special first generation doodle. This coat is very much like the poodle AND they maintain the wonderful temperament of the golden retriever. F1B goldendoodle coats range from soft curls to wavy hair. This generation’s coat is best for allergy suffers. They shed significantly less than an F1, but they too can shed.  It's all about their genetics the straighter the coat, the  more retriever coat and therefore straighter ones are more prone to shedding. This generation as the ones to follow are not only very allergy friendly but they make amazing therapy dogs!

F1bb  Goldendoodle

An F1bb Goldendoodle is a F1b Goldendoodle bred back to a Poodle. This would make it 87.5% Poodle and 12.5% Golden Retriever. This is be a very good breeding for somebody with severe allergies. This is where it gets exciting. When you find a reputable breeder, you will find that the f1bb goldendoodle is one of the smartest, most gentlest, kindest, and most family oriented generations. Again, maintaining the family oriented golden retriever temperament and gaining an amazing coat. They are ever seeking to please and their coats are significantly more hypo-allergenic than their parental lines. The coat on these puppies would be curlier than a first generation (50/50) Goldendoodle, but very similar to an F1b (75/25). Since we are DNA testing for coat traits, you will find this generation is typically wavy, wavy curls, to curly.  Regular grooming is required and is typical of what an F1b goldendoodle would need, clipped every 4-8 weeks depending on how you want them to look. Brushing daily is a must.

Our multi-gens are produced from these combination of breeding: "F1 X F1b", "F1b X F1b", and "F1b X F1bb".  These combination breedings are low to moderate shedders and the majority are very allergy friendly. Our multi-gens are bred for their hypoallergenic and non-shedding genes. We are very selective in our temperament breeding.  A variety of factors work together to produce quality multi-generational goldendoodles. Multi-gens have a good deal of genetic diversity. Our puppies certainly have this aspect and will be very intelligent, intuitive, clever, sweet, good-natured and family oriented dogs. They will have solid poodle coats that can be either wavy or soft curls. A puppy with a plush wavy or curly coat is advised and encouraged as the allergy sufferers puppy of choice, just what our multi-gens will be carrying. A straighter coat (will occasionally occur with our multi-gens) has a higher rate of shedding and are not as hypoallergenic, but they are still very allergy friendly and they will NEVER shed as much as their original golden retriever parental lines.
